Boron (B)

 

Boron's Role:

Essential of germination of pollen grains and growth of     pollen tubes
Essential for seed and cell wall formation
Promotes maturity
Necessary for sugar translocation
Affects nitrogen and carbohydrate

 

 

Boron Deficiency:

Death of growing tip.
Terminal buds die.
Multiple lateral branches ( rosette with short internods )
Older leaves thick and leathery.
Small deformed fruit ( in grape)
